Alper Cetingok serves as group head of Raymond James’s Diversified Industrials practice as well as sector head of the firm’s Security & Safety sector team. Cetingok joined Raymond James in 2012 as co-head of the Security, Defense & Government Services Group in connection with Raymond James’ acquisition of Morgan Keegan. In 2018, he assumed the dual role of group head of the diversified industrials practice, which is comprised of approximately 85 bankers across seven sector teams globally, and sector head of the Security & Safety group. In this capacity, Cetingok is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing private placements, public and private offerings of debt and equity and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for companies serving the global security and safety industries. He has been actively covering the security and safety industries for over 20 years, and under his leadership Raymond James’ Security & Safety Group has completed more than 130 M&A and financing transactions, making it the industry’s most prolific investment banking franchise. Cetingok is also a member of the Investment Banking Department’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Raymond James, Cetingok spent approximately 15 years at Morgan Keegan, where he founded and led the firm’s Security & Defense Group. During his tenure at Morgan Keegan, Cetingok assumed increasing levels of responsibility within the Investment Banking Department and held the distinction of being the youngest managing director in the firm’s history. He was also a member of the firm’s Investment Banking Management Committee and chair of its Transaction Committee.
In 2013, Cetingok was recognized by The M&A Advisor as a 40 Under 40 Dealmaker award recipient. He graduated magna cum laude from Rhodes College with a B.A. in business administration and international studies, is a member of the Rhodes College Alumni Executive Committee and is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
