Mark Schreiber is the president and principal consultant at Safeguards Consulting, a security design and consulting firm in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Schreiber’s security career has spanned over 25 years in design and consulting roles within the engineering and construction industry. For the majority of this time, he has been directly responsible for the complete design of large enterprise physical security systems from conception to design completion and oversight.

Schreiber regularly speaks and provides training for the security industry. He also gives
presentations at a variety of events through various industry associations, including ASIS GSX, ISC West, ISC East, FBI InfraGard, IAHSS, IFMA, ISSA, NCMS, AIA, ALEAN and RIMS. Schreiber has also obtained the Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) certification from ASIS International. He is also a dedicated volunteer for the industry and is currently a director of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants, a director of the US CPTED Association and a member of several SIA and ASIS committees and working groups.

Furthermore, Schreiber has a degree in electrical engineering technology and numerous training certifications for a wide range of systems and equipment from various manufacturers. He has extensive experience in physical security system design and engineering, involving all aspects of physical security systems, from door contacts to counter-drone systems. He previously worked for Fluor Daniel, where he helped Fortune 500 clients build and upgrade their enterprise-plus facilities all over the world. Beyond his specialty in physical security technologies, Schreiber has earned the
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Professional Designation (CPD) and has applied CPTED principles in a variety of industrial settings.
