Mike O’Neal is a forward-looking technology visionary who makes it his business to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing technology landscape in order to better meet the needs of the global customer base he serves. For the past seven years, O’Neal has held the position of President of Nortek Security & Control (previously Linear), the global leader in security, smart home control, health and wellness, and access control platforms and solutions.
As President, O’Neal has successfully spearheaded strategic corporate initiatives, including the 2013 acquisition of security system pioneer 2GIG, the 2017 merger with sister companies Core Brands and GTO Access Systems, and the 2018 acquisition of Artificial Intelligence and video analytics software innovator IntelliVision. As a result of O’Neal’s leadership, Nortek Security & Control now has a world-wide footprint as an innovator of security, smart home automation, access control, and entertainment solutions for millions of consumers and commercial customers.
Prior to Nortek Security & Control, O’Neal held senior leadership positions at Gibson Guitars, where he first served as Chief Operating Officer and then as President of Gibson North America. O’Neal has also served as a partner with Fasola O’Neal, a service provider to investment firms, and was CEO with product manufacturers that include Micro Innovations, Alco Consumer Products Inc., Phillips Associates & Peripherals, and Gemini Industries.
Mike O’Neal is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he earned Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in Political Science.
