Pierre Trapanese has 20 years of international project and financial management experience in the construction industry. He has been the sole owner of Northland Controls since 2005, and he has grown the company from $1.5 million to $30 million since then. The company is one of the most well respected integrators in the Silicon Valley. It has a superb team, and it is profitable. The company now has offices in the Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., London, Singapore and Shanghai.

Mr. Trapanese has authored several project and financial management manuals for the security industry. Those texts form the basis of the SIA Certified Security Project Management certificate.

In 1997, Mr. Trapanese co-founded Marquis Systems, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based project management and engineering consulting firm. By 2005, Marquis Systems, Inc. had become a well-respected California firm. Mr. Trapanese holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
