Scott Schafer is the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA). He is an experienced senior executive with strong experience in general management, sales management, marketing management, and service management in medium and large technology companies, including Arecont Vision, Pelco/Schneider Electric, Reynolds & Reynolds, and NCR/AT&T where he had revenue responsibility to $1 billion and managed organizations of 2,400 associates. Schafer served on executive management committees of his firms making strategic, policy, and operating decisions. He currently provides strategic business consulting services as the principal of SMS Advisors and serves on advisory boards of security technology firms.
