Vijay Lakamraju is the Product Cybersecurity Officer for Otis Elevator Company. In this role, Vijay oversees all aspects of product cybersecurity, including process and infrastructure required for secure development of products, product related incident response, product risk management, product cybersecurity standards and certification and external engagements.
Vijay is a technologist with more than 16 years of experience in product development and research, with the last 7 years focused on leading institutional transformations to deliver best-in-class secure products.
Vijay has a Ph.D. in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and prior to joining UTC was the co-founder of a start up company specializing in secure microprocessors. He has more than 15 patents to his credit and has authored 20+ academic publications.
Outside of work, he is also a coach to local FIRST Robotics teams.
