    Tara Dunning
    Vice President, Converging Technology, Global Sales and Strategy

    Tara is Wesco’s vice president, converging technology, global sales and strategy. Dunning has had a successful career delivering transformative growth in the IT and OT industries, holding multiple sales and strategy leadership positions across global distribution, manufacturer and service provider companies. She is serving her second term on the Security Industry Association Board of Directors, including being part of the executive committee. Dunning has been actively involved in various women’s and multicultural organizations over the last 20 years.

    Dunning and her husband of 30+ years live in Washington, D.C., and Greenville, South Carolina, and are proud parents to Lucy (Brooklyn, New York), Nate (Austin, Texas), Aidan (Paris, France) and their rescue pup, Frankie.

    Chair

    Scott Dunn is chair of the SIA Board of Directors and senior director of business development, solutions and services for Axis Communications. He is responsible for Axis’ long-term strategy regarding in-house developed solutions including access control, hosted video and future products, as well as professional and technical services. He is also responsible for vertical market development, architecture and engineering programs, application software and technology partners. Among his many accomplishments, Dunn was the architect of Axis’ National Accounts and Business Development programs. He also leads a team dedicated to liaising with key industry associations to promote educational and standards efforts.

    Dunn has over 20 years of experience in the security industry in both access control and video surveillance areas having previously held top executive positions at Synergistics, Inc. and Northern Computers-Honeywell. He has been selected as one of the top 10 most influential people in the physical security market of North America by the SecurityHive.com peer survey.

  • Dave Ilardi

    Dave Ilardi is president of Allegion Americas.

    In this role, Dave is responsible for Allegion’s largest business region, with operations in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The Americas organization is responsible for several of Allegion’s core brands, including Schlage, LCN and Von Duprin.

    Prior to this role, Dave led Allegion Home since 2019. Under his leadership, the Schlage brand celebrated its 100th anniversary and continued to innovate its strong position in residential electronics locks launching the first NFC enabled smart lock for the home with the Schlage Encode Plus. Additionally, he expanded our brand portfolio to strengthen our core Schlage position and capture new market segments and channels.

    As a 23-year veteran at the company, he brings in-depth experience in both residential and non-residential markets and has also managed the Allegion Operating System and held prior leadership roles in sales, marketing, global supply chain, market intelligence and portfolio management.

    In addition to his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management from Truman State University, Dave also holds an MBA from Lindenwood University, and is a Kellogg Executive Scholar from Northwestern University.

    Executive Vice President

    Mike is chair-elect of the Security Industry Association Board of Directors and executive vice president for Convergint. He opened the Convergint Los Angeles and San Francisco, California, locations for Convergint in 2002 and 2003. As one of the founding members, Mike has seen Convergint grow from nothing in 2001 to an over $3B company with over 200 offices globally. In his current role he is responsible for the company’s western operations and several global Initiatives.

    Previous to starting at Convergint, Mike held several positions at Johnson Controls over a 15-year career. He holds a B.Sc.E.E. from the University of Manitoba and in Canada held his Professional Engineering status. He is married to his wife, Cindy, and has three children.

    James Rothstein, President of Sequel Low Voltage, was formerly Chairman of the Security Industry Association (SIA) and has had a distinguished career spanning the security, distribution and wire and cable industries. James also serves as a board director of i-PRO and Unlimited Technologies. James brings over three decades of experience to his new role of leading the strategic direction and expansion of Sequel’s overall business, as well as overseeing the Low Voltage division.

    Rothstein’s extensive background includes leadership positions as operating partner for Lee Equity, a New York-based private equity firm, as well as global Board of Directors role at i-PRO. He has served as the senior vice president of global security solutions for Wesco, where he held P&L responsibilities for the firm’s $2+ billion global security and fire business. He was one of the owners of Tri-Ed Distribution, which was then sold to Anixter in 2015. He served as the senior vice president of marketing for Fatwire Software, an enterprise software solution later acquired by Oracle. His earlier experience included nearly a decade at Honeywell’s ADI division, where he served as the vice president of marketing and general manager. James holds a BS in Economics from Colgate University and was captain of the men’s rugby team.

    With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, John Nemerofsky has dedicated his career to advancing the innovation and integration of security technology – protecting the people, facilities and reputations of enterprise clients nationwide. In 2019, he assumed the role of chief operating officer at SAGE Integration, a national security integration provider operating across 62 major U.S. metro areas and boasting a team of over 19,000 installer partner specialists. Under Nemerofsky’s strategic guidance, the company has become a formidable force in the security industry. During his tenure at Niscayah – now Stanley Security Systems – Nemerofsky was instrumental in the organization’s growth to over $1 billion in revenue. Beyond his role at SAGE, Nemerofsky is deeply engaged in the security industry on multiple fronts, including his active involvement in the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent, where he serves as chair of the Board of Directors, and service on SIA’s Board of Directors and as chair of the SIA Member Engagement and Experience Committee. Nemerofsky also sits on the boards of PSA and Security Sales & Integration Magazine and is chairperson of the SecurityXchange and contributes quarterly columns to Security Business Magazine, sharing his expertise for the betterment of the industry.
