About Speaker
Kabir Maiga is co-founder and CEO of KeyShare (PassiveBolt, Inc.), where he builds identity infrastructure for physical access. KeyShare's technology allows government-issued digital credentials, including mobile driver's licenses, to be verified at the door and turned into an access decision without personal data reaching the access control system. The approach is additive, so mobile IDs, mobile credentials, and physical cards all work at the same reader.
He spun PassiveBolt out of Continental Automotive, drawing on its work designing access control hardware and software deployed in more than 120 million vehicles. KeyShare holds four granted US patents and builds to ISO 18013-5 and FIPS 140-2.
Kabir is a Founding Member of the NFID Foundation, a vendor-neutral effort on verifiable credentials in physical access. He has been named to the Forbes Next 1000 and has received multiple CES Innovation Awards. He holds an MSE from the University of Michigan, along with dual degrees from the Ross School of Business and the College of Engineering.
