From his start as an electrical apprentice to his role today as the CEO of one of the world’s largest technology systems integrators, Brian Sloan has seen the field of technology delivery evolve and has led that evolution at Wachter. Today the firm provides services ranging from power and energy to IT, security and AV, and this one-to-one between Sloan and SIA Board of Directors Chair Scott Dunn allows SNG attendees a window inside the mind and strategy of Sloan and Wachter.

Scott DunnChairScott Dunn is chair of the SIA Board of Directors and senior director of business development, solutions and services for Axis Communications. He is responsible for Axis’ long-term strategy regarding in-house developed solutions including access control, hosted video and future products, as well as professional and technical services. He is also responsible for vertical market development, architecture and engineering programs, application software and technology partners. Among his many accomplishments, Dunn was the architect of Axis’ National Accounts and Business Development programs. He also leads a team dedicated to liaising with key industry associations to promote educational and standards efforts.
Dunn has over 20 years of experience in the security industry in both access control and video surveillance areas having previously held top executive positions at Synergistics, Inc. and Northern Computers-Honeywell. He has been selected as one of the top 10 most influential people in the physical security market of North America by the SecurityHive.com peer survey.
