GenetecJason de Souza is a security industry executive based in Miami, Florida, serving as managing director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Genetec. With over 25 years of experience in the IT and security sectors, he has a proven track record of delivering results, growing revenue and building long-term relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders across the diverse and dynamic Latin American region. In his role, de Souza is responsible for developing and executing the regional strategy, expanding market share and leading a high-performance team.
Active in all aspects of the security industry, de Souza is the immediate past chair of the SIA International Relations Committee, an authoritative resource for SIA members and their partners in priority international security markets beginning with the security market in Latin America, where he has been instrumental in developing and evolving SIA’s expansion plan to promote international cooperation between the SIA and and Latin American security companies and industry trade associations, including efforts around Expo Seguridad México. In 2024 he was recognized as a SIA Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year.
Before joining Genetec, de Souza spent four years at Hanwha Vision, where he successfully developed and executed regional strategies, expanded market share and led the Latin American team. Prior to Hanwha, he worked at Anixter, where he held the position of vice president of global security.
