Filip Kaliszan

Filip Kaliszan is the chief executive officer and founder of Verkada. Since Verkada’s founding in 2016, he has spearheaded the organization’s growth to six product lines, 1,900+ employees, 24,000+ customers and 16 offices.

A builder at heart, Kaliszan created CourseRank, his first startup, alongside two of Verkada’s other co-founders, James Ren and Benjamin Bercovitz, as a sophomore at Stanford. He and his partners sold it to Chegg.com less than four years after building it. After the acquisition, he spent four years as a director of product management at Chegg.

Kaliszan holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University. He is originally from Poland, was raised in Paris and has lived in the Bay Area for the past 15+ years, where he currently resides with his partner and son, Alexander.
